The substrate (floor material) in a reptile enclosure must be appropriate for the species' natural habitat. Desert species like leopard geckos and bearded dragons do well on tile, paper, or fine sand. Tropical species need moisture-retaining substrates like coconut coir or bioactive mixes. Aquatic turtles need aquatic substrates and filtration.
Our substrate range covers reptile carpet (easy to clean), coconut fibre (coco coir), reptile sand, bark chip mixes, and soil-based bioactive substrates. We also stock hides (essential — every reptile needs at least two hides, one on the warm side and one on the cool side), artificial and natural branches, cork bark, and artificial plants for habitat decoration.
