Royal Canin Persian Adult Cat Food (400g) | Adorer Pet Bangladesh

Persian cats are one of the most popular breeds in Bangladesh, and they have very specific needs — that distinctive flat face makes ordinary kibble shapes hard to pick up, and the long, dense coat is prone to matting and hairball formation. Royal Canin Persian Adult is the breed-specific food designed around all of that, and it is the food most veterinarians in Dhaka will recommend if you ask them what to feed a Persian.

The kibble itself is an unusual almond shape, designed so a Persian can pick it up easily with the underside of the tongue rather than the front of the mouth. The formula combines fish oil, borage oil and biotin to support the long coat, plus a specific fibre blend that helps move swallowed hair through the digestive system instead of forming hairballs that get vomited up. After about four to six weeks of consistent feeding, most Persian owners notice less matting, fewer hairballs and a visibly silkier coat.

The 400g pack is the entry size — perfect for trying Royal Canin Persian for the first time, for a single small-appetite cat, or as a top-up between larger packs. If your Persian eats it happily, the 2kg pack is much better value per kilogram.

Key Ingredients

Rice, dehydrated poultry protein, maize, animal fats, dehydrated fish protein, hydrolysed animal proteins, beet pulp, minerals, fish oil, soya oil, borage oil, biotin, vitamins and trace elements, taurine, antioxidants.

Why It's Good For Your Pet

• Easier eating — the almond kibble shape genuinely makes a difference for Persians struggling with regular round kibble.
• Visible coat improvement — within four to six weeks — owners consistently report a silkier, less-matted coat.
• Fewer hairballs — the targeted fibre blend reduces the frequency of hairball regurgitation, common in long-haired breeds.
• Veterinary trust — one of the most veterinarian-recommended breed-specific foods, backed by decades of research at Royal Canin.

Honest Considerations

• Designed specifically for Persians — not optimised for other breeds (Royal Canin has separate British Shorthair, Maine Coon, etc.).
• Premium price point — the most expensive everyday option in the Bangladesh market alongside other Royal Canin breed lines.
• Contains grain (rice, maize) — not suitable if you specifically want a grain-free diet.
• Imported pricing is sensitive to USD/BDT fluctuations.

Feeding Guide

3 kg Persian: roughly 40g per day. 4 kg: roughly 50g. 5 kg: roughly 60g. Split into two meals. Always provide fresh water, and transition any new cat gradually over five to seven days.
