Cats evolved as desert animals and have a naturally low thirst drive — meaning many cats on dry food diets are chronically mildly dehydrated. Running water fountains tap into the feline preference for moving water (cats are instinctively drawn to streams and running water over still pools) and dramatically increase daily water intake in many cats. Our water fountain range uses replaceable carbon filters that remove chlorine, odours, and impurities from tap water, keeping it fresh for several weeks between full changes. The continuous circulation also prevents stagnation and bacterial growth that can occur in static water bowls. Choose a fountain capacity that matches your cat count — a single cat is well served by a 1.5–2 litre fountain; multiple cats need proportionally larger capacity.
